Introduction: The most commonly used wastewater biological treatment methods are difficult to treat substances with large relative molecular mass and poor biodegradability of ring structure. Such pollutants usually have certain chemical stability and are difficult to be completely mineralized by common oxidants. In order to achieve the effective degradation of such organic compounds in water, advanced oxidation technologies (AOPs) based on hydroxyl radicals (¡¤ OH) have emerged. Currently recognized AOPs are ozone oxidation method, Fenton reagent method, photocatalytic oxidation method, supercritical water oxidation method, wet oxidation method and electrochemical oxidation method.
